NSE promotes humanities in the community through the viewing of African American historic artifacts, artworks, literature, musical compositions, films and scholarly-led community conversations.

The study of how people process and document their human experience through the use of philosophy, religion, literature, music, art, history, theater and language.

NSE provides an opportunity for African American Humanities Scholars to make their work beneficial to their communities and available to the public.

NSE brings access to the humanities to a diverse audience, including minorities and those limited by geography, economics and disability.
